Book My Show and RuPay have tied up to offer customers deals on tickets
Live music promoter and ticketing platform BookMyShow has entered into a year-long partnership with RuPay, the domestic card payment network operated by the National Payments Corporation of India. The collaboration will span digital channels and on-ground experiences.
As a result of the partnership, RuPay card holders will get a range of benefits in the form of access to pre-sale tickets online, and exclusive ticketing zones and lounge areas, merchandise perks, and fast lanes for top-ups, on site. They will be able to avail these at such upcoming events as the 2025 editions of Sunburn, and the 2026 instalments of Lollapalooza India and Bengaluru-based rock festival Bandland (which is swapping its usual December date for February next year).
The news follows a similar tie-up between EVA Live and MasterCard, announced in June. Notably, neither of these are exclusive deals. BookMyShow, which brought Kotak Mahindra Bank on board to present Guns N’ Roses and Maroon 5’s recent Mumbai shows; and HSBC for Ed Sheeran’s six-city tour in February, is likely to work with other banking and financial institutions for future events.
